Times are dark moral runs low
Most fear they’ve no place to go
As death makes a bed by the door.

Thoughts send chills running through my mind
Half the world’s completely blind
That their pets aren’t the cuddling kind

Beyond the fire’s light
But howls aren’t what you should fear

They want your body for their own

Stoking flames keeps the beasts at bay

Carelessly they walk away
