About the event

A super lineup of seasoned songwriters! Music starts at 9pm y'all

**CAROLYN BROUSSARD has one of those voices that makes you turn your head and take notice. In her 10 years on the New Orleans music scene she has distinguished herself as one of the most versatile and sought-after singers in New Orleans today. Originally hailing from New Iberia and beginning her training as an opera singer, she has become a force to be reckoned with in the fast-growing NolAmericana scene. At one of Carolyn’s shows you will see her playing guitar and ukulele and singing a wide range of songs, covers ranging from Fastball to Mavis Staples and her exciting original songs that sound as if you’ve known them for years. She surrounds herself with extremely talented musicians and allows them to shine, whether taking lead on vocals, singing in 4-part vocal harmony, or blowing the audience away with instrumental solos. And underlying it all is the vibe of an extended family event, where you’ve never met a stranger and are left with the positive feeling that we’re all in this together and life is good. In addition to her self-titled project, Carolyn can also be found playing washboard with Truman Hollan’s Back Porch Revue and singing with Colin Davis and Night People. http://www.CarolynBroussard.com

**THE THREADBARE SKIVVIES This southern funky folk band hailing from Atlanta, GA is a homegrown blend of bohemian banjo bangin, textured rhythms, sweet surprising harmonies, and soulfully crafted lyrics. They describe themselves and their music as *Vagabond Nature Folk*.  After playing around the Southeast  - from barefoot backyard parties to great stages throughout the region, the group has honed their unique sound and gathered popularity for their passionate live performances & their genre-bending original tunes. Their first full-length album FLOURISH & THRIVE echoes nostalgic joy-  the perfect mountain-driving mix-tape - replete with exuberant catchy choruses and plenty of room for rumination and revelry. ~Currently on cross country End of Summer Tour '19~ www.thethreadbareskivvies.com

**BRETT WELLER When it comes to genre, Brett Weller has been best described as featuring a “gumbo of sounds”. Also known as Brett Weller and The Congregation, the New Orleans based singer-songwriter has made his mark in a variety of settings through anthems of life, love, and honest humanity. Drawing deeper from both spiritual and secular themes, Weller offers a musical experience that brings the listener to a place of inspired existence. Add this message to his southern blues and folk influences, and you will find a sound that is truly music for the soul. http://www.BrettWeller.com
